Workshop 3: Needle Punch Rug Hooking with Yarn

rug hooking Hooking a rug is like painting with wool. You will make a beautiful wall hanging , chair pad, or a small trivet (approx. 8"). By doing this you will learn everything necessary to hook larger rugs. The New England Style or Punch Needle Method will be taught using the Oxford Punch Needle, a tool invented by the instructor. The punch needle is used to punch wool rug yarn through a cotton monk’s cloth backing to form a looped pile. With the selection of over 100 luxurious hand dyed colors of yarn for our palette, the results are rich in color and texture. Many designs will be available from the instructor in class.
